If you have ever been in Buffalo, New York between the months of November to March, you are aware of how long, cold and brutal a Western New York winter can get. Although the weather is unreliable, a frozen Buffalo make for an absolutely stunning setting for various projects. From the frozen Lake Erie to Niagara Falls, the possibilities are endless, when it comes to shooting in the snow.

There is no denying that the Buffalo Central Train Terminal is one of the most fantastic, architectural structures in Buffalo, New York, but has tragically been abandoned for over 40 years. The Train Terminal has played a significant role in Buffalo film production and is still continuing to do so today, through local and even larger projects. Join us on Saturday, February, 15th 2014, for The Film Video Collective’s 4th Annual Winter Open Audition casting call. For those of you who have never been, this is a fantastic opportunity for local filmmakers to attend and connect with actors/actresses and others from the filmmaking community. We are hoping to see a wide variety of auditions; there are no restrictions on age, race, gender or experience, so don’t hesitate to join us! All are equally welcome, from the first time actors/actresses to the most seasoned vets.
